Nick Marzoni's Medical Expenses

On May 10, Mother's Day evening, Nick Marzoni - husband of Mary and father of Sophia -suffered a massive hemorrhagic stroke. He was admitted to Ochsner neuro ICU and was on a ventilator for several weeks. There were some very scary days but the unbreakable Nick pulled through. The stroke has affected his vision, hearing, swallowing ability, coordination, and upper body strength, among other things. Luckily his mind, memory, and cognitive abilities are not affected.  From Ochsner Nick and I travelled to Texas to go to inpatient rehab at TIRR. We finally got back home on July 8. What a great day that was! 
As most of you know this is a second major medical catastrophe to happen to Nick . In 2002 he was in a severe car accident that left him a quadriplegic. He persevered and went to law school during his recovery and at the time of his stroke was working as a Sr Parish Attorney for Jefferson Parish. He loves his job and co workers so much,  and they have been so supportive. 
I have decided to leave my job to stay home with Nick full time to help provide his medical care and transport him to all of the doctor and therapy appointments. As a result, both of us are out of work at this time. Nick is progressing, but has a long hard road ahead of him. A major goal of his to be able to eat food by mouth again!
We are asking for help and donations to allow Nick to participate in hyperbaric oxygen therapy for his brain injury . This form of treatment is not covered by insurance and is very expensive. We want to provide him with every possible treatment available to increase his chances of recovery.
If you know Nick, you know he is the kind of guy that would do anything he could for you.  His family and friends came first.  He has helped so many people it is our turn to give back to him.
