Nick - is our miracle!

My brother Nick Mikhasenak (21 years old) J1 student from Belarus.
It was his dream to visit USA, to take crocodile in his arms, to get Great Canyon and earn some money for mother's traveling.
Dreams come true. He spent all summer, working in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina according to the program Work and Travel.

At the end of his program, few ours before flying home, he was crashed by the car. Terrible car accident!
The driver increased the speed and didn’t notice Nick. Nick has got a catastrophic brain injury. His brain was almost completely destroyed. The doctors told that he would live only under the life support machine and he would never wake up from coma and that. They removed almost 35-40% of his right part of the brain because of the swelling. He has a stroke on his left part of the brain. He has saved only 25-30% healthy brain. Also he lost his vision.
Doctors told  that they need to turn off his life support but I didn't allow to do it.

After more than one month in coma my brother opened his eyes, than he began to breathe by himself, then swallow and speak, starting to move his right part of body, but most of his body was paralyzed...

From that moment Nick struggles for his life every day and night.

He is disabled and dependent (needs 24/7 supervision) he needs a long-term serious rehabilitation and medical support.

All medical bills can not be covered by drivers insurance (only 50 000$ limit). Reckless driver broke Nick's life. He has no property to start low suit. And this is unfair because it is drivers fault and he needs to be responsible for this.

He is not a citizen of USA that's why he couldn't apply for Medicaid and disability, he has no medical and psychological support in this country.

I left all my life and flew to the US urgently to support my brother. Our parents have a problems with health but they help us as much as they can. I need to take care of Nick 24/7 and that's why I can't work. I spend all my savings.

We need your help and support. We need to pay for:
- medicine
- medical care
- housing
- food
- equipment for Nick
- Nick's transportation
- paperwork

We are looking for variants how to restore Nick's vision.
Nick needs your support!

Please help Nick to have a chance for rehabilitation!

Share his story with as many friends as possible and pray for Nick. He is alive because God has plans for him.
Thank you so much.
Nick and Alex.
