Wife & Mother of 3 Fighting Leukemia

Hello All. My name is Amanda, and I have started this GoFundMe for my beautiful sister-in-law, Nickie Taylor, who has been recently diagnosed with Leukemia.

On April 13th, Nickie was rushed to an ER in Dothan, AL, where they discovered she had a form of Leukemia. She was immediately given a blood transfusion and transported to a cancer facility 5 hrs from home, where she has been for the past four weeks.

The exact type is the most aggressive form of leukemia, known as Acute Myeloid Leukemia, which will require a stem cell transplant.

She is currently on her second round of

chemotherapy and has had numerous blood transfusions.

Nickie has been a part of our family since she met my brother Mark in 2002. They married in 2003 and have three beautiful children.

Over the years, Nickie has silently suffered many setbacks with autoimmune issues, limiting the food she eats, the environment she’s in, and missing out on family milestones.

She has always been a positive and strong force, with most never knowing she has dealt with so many limitations. Despite her setbacks, she homeschools their two younger children and has always been involved in their extracurricular activities.

Nickie is now in the fight of her life!

Receiving treatment so far from home has placed an incredible strain on the family as my brother balances work, caring for their children, and ensuring she has someone with her in the hospital at all times. The travel, hotel, and medical expenses have increased the burden on the family during this already difficult season.
