Nickie Miranda NEEDS our help! As many of you know, Nickie Miranda is a selfless woman full of love, and she is there for anyone who calls upon her for any reason. She is a rare soul who inspires others through her dedication to God, family, and friends. She asks for nothing in return, but do you know that our dear sister in Christ has been suffering since her youth with Hereditary Angio-Edema? The U.S. Hereditary Angio-Edema Association states that “HAE is a very rare and potentially life-threatening genetic condition involving swelling of various parts of the body, hands, feet, or face.” Over the years, Nickie’s gums have swollen so many times that she has lost most of her teeth. Because of the swelling, she is not able to wear traditional dentures. Living without teeth has affected her digestive system as well as her nutritional status.

Nickie has spoken with a doctor who could provide her with the dental implants she is in dire need of. However, the cost is prohibitive. Her illness requires that the implants would have to be placed in a hospital setting where she could be monitored by a physician. The quote from the physician who would be willing to do this for her is $60,000. I have mailed all the big dental schools in California and some organizations that do grants but have not received any responses. It is up to us to reward Nickie for her selflessness and thank her with a brand new smile as well assist her with being able to provide better nutrition for her digestive system.

I have asked Nickie's permission to begin this GoFundMe, and I know it is humbling for her that we are doing this, but I also know that every single person reading this has benefitted from her tireless efforts and unfailing love which she pours out constantly and unselfishly despite all the health issues that could have held her back. Let us all come together now to help her. If we can get 1500 people to contribute just $40, we will easily reach our goal.

St. Padre Pio, St. Mother Theresa, and Mother Angelica definitely know about needing money and God providing, let us ask for their intercession for this mission to be as successful as they were in their endeavors. Amen.
