Donation protected
On behalf of Dave and Bonnie Wruck, Nick‘s parents, as well as myself, Gabby... a huge thank you and big hugs to everyone for all of their well wishes, thoughts, prayers and positivity. We’ve been asked by so many people, how can we help? When you are in the heart of a complicated medical crisis, often it’s difficult to know what to ask for. With Nick‘s third hospital admission, it’s becoming apparent that the medical expenses will continue to build as well as time away from work. Nick has a significant out of pocket before he has medical coverage for inpatient, outpatient, and pharmacy expenses. Because of that, we ask family and friends, if they could be so kind, if possible, to donate to Nick’s Go Fund Me account. On the morning of June 25, Nick woke up with a fairly high fever and symptoms suggestive of influenza. Following was two visits to the urgent care, and five days later, via ER, Nick was admitted to Abbott Northwestern Hospital with a life threatening fever and rash, diagnosed with a tick-borne illness. After a five-day stay, Nick was discharged to home, readmitted 2 days later for another 5 day stay...complications from a spinal tap procedure and ongoing virus complications. He was discharged again for 3 days and readmitted again for blood clots in his lungs. Nick has a huge heart and has been so generous with his time and fundraising efforts supporting other worthwhile causes, what a great time for that to circle back to him.
