The Nick Wintersteen Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is in honor of my good friend Nick Wintersteen who passed away in 2007 from a long battle with cancer.

 

This scholarship will be awarded to one Mt. Spokane High School graduating senior based on a 1,000-word essay, "What are three fundamental values that we're instilled in you during your time at Mt. Spokane & how will you put those values to work in your time after high school?"

 

That's the scholarship part. The other part is I'll be hosting a retrospective podcast called Mt. Spokast! on it; I'll be interviewing other Mt. Spokane High School 2002 Alumni.

 

A group of 2002 alumni will judge this, and the recipient will also, be invited to participate in an upcoming retrospective podcast featuring the Class of 2002.
