Hi, my name is Lea Thomas, my husband Nick and I own and operate a small electrical contracting business in French Valley, CA where we live with our two daughters and two dogs. On Saturday, March 18th Nick was in an accident that shattered his leg. He had his first surgery on Sunday, March 19th to place metal rods in his leg to keep it straight until the swelling can go down enough to do the second surgery. The doctors are estimating this may take 2-4 weeks. For the time being he is in the hospital until they can move him into a rehabilitation center so he has 24-hour care until his next surgery. After a few weeks, he will have his bones fixed and then they can assess the damage to his ligaments and tendons for a possible third surgery. They're giving us an estimated recovery of 6 months to a year. Being small business owners, this is a huge blow to our finances. We've already had a rough few months with all of the rain and now to have our lead electrician and sole provider out for months is the worst possible scenario. We are asking for help with our medical and monthly expenses so that Nick can take the time to heal without the added stress of losing our business and home. We appreciate everyone who has already reached out asking how they can help, we love each and every one of you!
Sincerely-
The Thomas Family
