My name is Eve Needham and I am making this fundraiser to help Nick and Toy Baraimas with his medical needs. As of today, he is scheduled to have another operation tomorrow. I asked Toy what is happening with Nick's medical issues and this is the info she gave me:

"On November 10, 2024 Nikolaos Bairamis known as Nick’s Taxi (Cabby driver), and Pizza Nick’s, was Medevac out of Homer, Alaska, suffering from a stroke which requires a Carotid Stent on both arms.

The stroke caused difficulties for Nikolaos, effecting his ability to speak clearly as well as keeping his balance when walking. During his 14 days at Providence hospital, finally stabilized, Nikolaos under went surgery on his right arm placing a Carotid Stent on November 18th.

During his stay, high blood pressure as well as diabetes skyped his blood sugar, requiring constant monitoring. They also placed a Foley Catheter to stay until seen by the urologist, will be on blood thinners for three months prior to being seen, in hopes of removing his cancer. He is scheduled for a second surgery on December 2nd to place the Stent in his left arm."

Funds are for traveling expenses driving or airplane to Anchorage which depends on weather conditions. Many months of care, medical, doctors follow up, hotel, food and gas. This account is linked to their bank account, so they have direct access to the funds as needed.
