Nick Schroeder

Hi, I'm Stephen Urquidi and I'm fundraising for Nick Schroeder's family. He was taken far too early in his early 40's. He left this world Thursday September 21st after battling Sarcoma (A soft tissue cancer) for 6 weeks. It came upon him very fast after having some stomach pain. He did his best but ultimately lost the fight. As many of you know he was a soft spoken and very kind man. He always had a great sense of humor and enjoyed Halal Guys at lunch among plenty of other lunch places. He rode his motorcycle into work and had a passion for swimming, soccer, and most importantly his family. Nick lead the tradition telling “Dad Jokes” ever Monday morning and would mostly get groans from how bad they were but it followed with a little chuckle. He treated everyone with respect and would always take the time to listen and provide valuable input. Nick leaves behind a wife and 4 children, which range in age from 14 to 5 years old. He was a husband, father, soccer referee, a sailor, an estimator, D&D legend, an electrical engineer, a friend, and will always be part of the SoCalGas Family. He told me many times how much he enjoyed working here and that this company allowed him to put his family first. He will be missed and always remembered. Please help us keep his memory alive.
