Nick Morrison

In October of 2021 Nick was diagnosed with Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma. He was scheduled for surgery to remove the mass in December which ended up being an 8 hour long surgery because the mass had wrapped itself around the nerve. The doctor did everything he could to try to save the nerve but unfortunately could not so they cut the nerve out. A nerve specialist was brought in to complete a nerve graft in hopes to maintain movement on the left side of his face (it did work a little).

February 2022 brought another surgery for Nick. This time was eye surgery to add a metal plate in his eye which helps him blink and close his eye.

June 2022 brought Nick in for his 6 month CT scan. Unfortunately this scan showed reoccurrence which meant 7 weeks of radiation which he completed in August 2022.

January 2023 brought another scan, this time showing nodules on his lungs. This led to earlier this month a wedge resection to biopsy the nodules in his lungs. The biopsy has confirmed positive for cancer.

Nick is scheduled to see oncology in April for treatment plan.

Through all of these obstacles Nick has remained nothing but positive. However as you might imagine the financial impact has been tough. Nick is anxious to get back to work and normal day to day life but we want to ensure that he takes the appropriate time rest and heal.
