“Take me out to the ball game, take me out to the crowd, buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jack, I don’t care if I ever get back…”
Our friend, Nick Kunz was just recently diagnosed with Stage 4 terminal lung cancer. He is currently undergoing chemotherapy, but even with the treatment it is difficult to estimate how much time we can buy. Finances are always a concern in these situations as bills related to hospital visits, medicine, travel, and other arrangements pile up. Nick’s neighbor asked if he had a bucket list. Nick replied that he hadn't really thought about it, then after some hesitation he said he always wanted to see his favorite MLB team, the Phillies, play live in person. Nick is a lifelong fan. We’ve reached out to the ball club to find out if they have any resources dedicated for this type of situation, but haven’t heard back. Since time is crucial, we are wanting to rally the community for support, show some love, and send Nick and some family out to the old ball game.
Any funds raised above and beyond what is needed for the ballgame trip could be used to offset medical expenses.
We love you Nick.
