Help Nick & Katrina start their family!

Nick was diagnosed with Testicular Cancer on April 5th, 2021, just five months before their wedding! After an emergency surgery removing one of the tumors, Nick started intense chemotherapy on May 3rd, 2021. Three months of chemo were pretty rough, but luckily he was able to complete chemo after three cycles.

After that, literally a miracle, all his other cancer tumors shrank! Thank you Lord! In November, his scans showed that they had shrunken down to almost nothing! At his last doctors appointment on April 12, '22, his scans showed that his tumor has shrunken to basically 1cm, the size of a normal lymph node! All great news!

There’s always a chance of cancer coming back or growing, but this treatment has proven to basically cure this type of cancer. Nick & Katraina were lucky enough to have a week before surgery so that they could bank sperm. They are planning on starting their family as soon as they are settled and can afford artificial insemination. After Nick's body is entirely free of chemo, they can try naturally getting pregnant, but that won’t be for a while.

Throughout this cancer journey, Katrina and Max have been positive and encouraging! They are so thankful for all their friends & family who have lifted them up in prayer and walked alongside them during these past few years. This cancer journey is not how most people begin their lives together. And although there is hope that someday Nick and Katrina can naturally conceive a child on their own, they aren't able to try that route for some time.

Obviously with cancer, medical bills and unforeseen expenses arise, so we are asking for others to help support them and donate here financially so Nick & Katrina can begin their next journey together of starting their family. Due to the chemo, they will need to conceive via artificial insemination which is expensive. By donating any amount, it would help take some of the financial burdens off their shoulders! Thank you!
