I’m delighted to have been selected to represent Wales at the Parkinson’s Five Nations Golf Tournament at The Belfry on 29 and 30 September, competing alongside golfers living with Parkinson’s from England, Ireland, Scotland and France.
Living with Parkinson’s brings challenges, but being part of events like this is a reminder of just how important it is to stay active, connected and positive.
Golf gives me the opportunity to keep moving, compete, enjoy the company of others and focus on what I can still achieve rather than what Parkinson’s may try to take away.
The Five Nations is about much more than golf. It brings together people living with Parkinson’s from across Europe, raising awareness of the condition and demonstrating the enormous role that sport and physical activity can play in maintaining health, confidence and quality of life.
As part of Team Wales, I am raising funds for Sport Parkinson’s, an organisation dedicated to helping people with Parkinson’s get active and stay active through sport, exercise and community.
The money raised will help Sport Parkinson’s continue creating opportunities for people living with Parkinson’s to take part in sport, meet others who understand the challenges of the condition and discover what they are still capable of achieving.
I am incredibly proud to be representing Wales at The Belfry.
If you are able to support my fundraising, whatever the amount, it would mean a great deal to me and to everyone involved with Sport Parkinson’s.
Thank you for your support.
