Nick Gaudio's medical healing fund

Nick had an accident early in morning on May 25th which involved slipping and falling off a 4 story roof at a hotel in Boston while taking photos of the city skyline.  He was taken to the E.R. at Beth Isreal Hospital where the MRI revealed several vertebrae with severe fractures along with other spinal complications.  Luckily, he was conscious, still able to move and feel his legs and arms but his spinal cord was very vulnerable.  The surgeons decided that a large portion of his spine needed to be fused together to protect his body and spinal cord from any further damage like paralysis or permanent nerve damage.

Nick had surgery 12 hours after being admitted to the E.R. and it went as well as it could.  We are truly very fortunate that he is still with us, does not have any brain damage, and will be walking again soon.  However, it will be a long road recovering, managing pain, doing physical therapy and adjusting.  He will most likely be spending a few weeks at an inpatient rehab upon his release before he can go home.  

We are seeking any financial assistance you can afford to help cover some of Nicks expenses over the next few months.  It is going to take an unknown amount of time before Nick will be able to work again and anything we can do to help him cover these medical and living costs in the meantime would help him focus on his recovery.  These include the deductible, co-pays, braces and other equipment needed for recovery, prescriptions, travel expenses to and from Boston, bills, rent, food, etc.

This goes without saying for anyone that is fortunate enough to know Nick but he is the sweetest, most caring and all around awesome guy that would never hesitate to whatever he could to help one his friends in need.  Now he needs our help so please chip in and help it make easier for him and his family to stay focused on his recovery.
