I would like to thank everyone for their loving and supportive comments. I forget that I have a huge network for support and have focused my attention towards my family over the past few years. Nick was a prime example of what it looks like to struggle with mental health issues. His large smile, big hugs and quick wit often masked the real issues. 2020 was a year of great learning opportunities for him. A chance to get the help, support and counselling he needed. His highs were high, his lows were low often going months in the right direction. The one thing Nick wanted to do one day when he was strong and healthy was take courses and become a counsellor. Help teens and young adults to get to a better place themselves. He really would have been amazing. One of Nick’s friends, Ethan Ladd, has set up a go fund me page to help with funeral costs, but I would like to honour that of which Nick struggled with. All the proceeds raised will go towards Encompass' newly approved project called Foundry Langley. The kick off campaign to start raising awareness and funds to realize all this will be in the next 4-6 weeks and I would be proud to donate the money raised here in Nicholas’ honour.
