Nick Cartwright, our strong and wonderful 26-year- old friend and loved one, was life flighted to HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital on Friday morning with serious injuries after he was involved in a life threatening collision with a Tractor Trailer off of U.S. 17 in Palatka FL. He sustained a head injury and numerous broken bones, some which will require surgery to repair. Nick is currently being kept under sedation in the ICU until he shows signs of being fully stable. Nick is the toughest guy we know and is showing positive signs of being on the road to recovery but has a long way to go.
This campaign is to support Nick’s Partner Somer Priest and the family as they plan for Nick’s ICU care, surgery, other medical interventions, rehabilitation, and the collateral cost of adjusting to life with ongoing care. The current goal may very well increase as the costs of his stay in the ICU become clear.
