Nick Bass needs our help to support his mom, Carol
Donation protected

About 2 1/2 weeks ago, Nick heard from some of his mom’s friends in St. Croix that his mom, Carol, was not well and increasingly more anxious than normal. A therapist in St. Croix interviewed her and diagnosed her to be depressed and anxious.
Within a couple of days, on Tuesday May 26th, Nick flew to St. Croix and brought Carol back to Seattle on Thursday May 28th. While getting her evaluated, Nick and Carol spent that Friday and Saturday in the ER. While they discharged Carol, she had been on 24/7 watch with Nick being the only person she was comfortably able to have around. As of Friday June 12th, Nick was able to have Carol admitted to a geriatric psychiatric ward until further evaluations on Tuesday, June 16th. Although this is what she medically needs, Nick is painfully upset about having her admitted. Emotionally, mentally and physically exhausted, Nick is quite frankly overextended.
With Covid already impacting his ability to maintain a regular work schedule, Carol's mental and physical health issues have left Nick with no means of income while regular costs of living and bills of rent ($ 1931 avg cost of 1 berm apt) , utilities ($150) and insurance etc are further compounded by the ever growing expense of emergency plane tickets ($3600), AirBnB ($100 p/nt) , Medicare deductibles ($1408 for every period of ER, inpatient and outpatient care), and prescriptions. This list will only exponentially put a heavier weight upon Nick's shoulders. With donations we can financially help ease some of these burdens. Even the cost of a lunch will be humbly and appreciatively accepted.
As he has POSITIVELY and patiently mentored, coached and fostered us through the years, let us step up and show Nick the generously supportive TEAM and COMMUNITY we have all built for each other.
With love, peace and hope, I thank you. -- Mila NIset
