Hello everyone. My name is Sandie Greene. Several of our family and friends have asked how they can assist Nichole.
My husband, Billy, and I have set up this GoFundMe to assist our daughter, Nichole, in raising additional funds to go towards the many costs that are adding up from this accident.
For those unaware, Nichole was in a serious auto accident on June 3rd. Nichole was sitting at a red light when a large truck struck her vehicle at a diagonal right in the driver side door/panel. According to the witness, Nichole was hit so fast and hard that it sent her car flying into the air. Her car did one and a half rotations in the air before landing on the guardrail on the roof and then rolled down a hill and landed on the roof on a cement culvert. Nichole was unconscious for a period of time during this and required extraction from her car.
Nichole was flown out to a trauma center from the accident and has been staying at our home to recover. Though her visible physical injuries have had great improvements, she continues to suffer with significant internal injuries to include a torn artery (very IMPORTANT one) in her neck and ongoing brain injury. She remains under the care of multiple specialists who have advised this is going to be a very long road to recovery.
However long this recovery may be, if you know Nichole you already know she will only accept a full recovery!
It is still unknown if the driver of the truck, who recklessly caused this collision, has insurance.
Nichole remains out of work for an extended period of time due to the internal injuries being too dangerous to allow her to return at this time.
We appreciate every single prayer, well wish, and everyone's support. So many of our family, friends, and even people from our community that have not met before have come together to support our daughter.
Nichole is very determined to bring awareness to her new found cause. She began what has been called a movement and is eager to continue working towards spreading the word on the DANGERS of DISTRACTED DRIVING.
Please encourage all that you know to not drive while distracted. Distracted Driving is not just limited to driving while high or intoxicated. It also includes texting, scrolling through your phone, looking for something in the car or backseat, talking to someone in the car, eating/drinking, changing the radio or song. The list is endless.
Thank you again for any assistance you may be able to provide, whether financial, continued prayers, sharing, or all of the above.
