Hello, If you’re receiving this message it’s because you are someone very dear to my heart and I felt it’s important to share some news… I wrote this out in advance because it was very difficult to process let alone share with you all. But a little over a month ago I was unfortunately diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer. It is rooted in a tumor on my thyroid and has spread to the lymph nodes in my neck.

As always I walk in the light and have come to terms with my new journey ahead. My Mother, Linette who we all knew and loved passed away in February earlier this year and I faced my biggest fear. She was my best friend, hero and hands down the most beautiful selfless soul to ever walk our earth. She instilled, positivity, strength, confidence and always loved me unconditionally and I will carry her with me forever. It is my super power and I refuse to let this monster I have to face get me down. It is scary but part of facing these fears is remembering I don’t have todo it alone. I apologize for the “trauma dump” but I would be an idiot to not Thank you for adding laughter, joy or love to my life in any capacity.

I can’t say there’s ever been a time I feel as helpless as I do now. I have every confidence In My surgeon and team but the future is still a bit unknown for me. Dancing is a huge part of my life, my bread and butter if you will. But unfortunately I’ll be un able to work while I’m recovering. In most cases the thyroid tumor removal is a small incision at the base of the neck but in my case the affected lymph nodes and nodules on both sides of my neck must also be removed. Unfortunately there is no definitive timeline for my recovery and rehabilitation so I’m reaching out for help in the case I won’t be able to sustain my financial responsibilities…

I know in most cases people ask to share and post about these types of things but I have a hard time receiving sympathy and sharing such solemn news after the loss of my Mother. If it’s alright with you close friends I’d like to keep this off of social media. I don’t want to hinder my reach but I also just want to keep my socials a light and happy place for my own sanity. If you would like to share it would be greatly appreciated if it was kept to texting or email. Thank you for all the light and love and for taking the time to read my story.
