Hi Everyone.. I’m asking for your help for a coworker and friend of mine, Smitha. Smitha was ecstatic when she found out she was pregnant, but due to the baby’s umbilical cord being tied in a knot, she had to have a c-section at just 27 weeks. Nicholas Thomas Koshy was born April 28, 2020 weighing only 1 lb 7.3 oz. The entire process has been an emotional roller coaster for Smitha and her husband. Several nights they were called in to the NICU to come say goodbye to their baby boy because the nurses and doctors were unsure if he’d make it through the night, but he is a little fighter and keeps making small progress every day! On July 15th Nicholas was airlifted to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, where Smitha and her husband have now been staying. In the midst of everything going on, Smitha’s husband had to be hospitalized for a short period of time, but he is now back with his family and doing well. Smitha is a Registered Nurse herself, and has been taking time off of work to stay with her son. With all the stress and heartache her and her husband have been enduring, the last thing they need is a financial burden due to medical bills. Please keep baby Nick and his family in your thoughts and prayers, and any donations are greatly appreciated! Thank you!
