I’m starting this fundraiser for my brother Nick and his family! Kassy was induced Monday night at 12:30 pm to have sweet baby Addy. Things didn’t go as planned, Addy was being slightly stubborn (I’m not sure if she got that more from Mom or Dad) and decided to delay her grand entrance. Kassy and Addy started to become distressed so they had to perform a C-section at 5:00 am Wednesday morning. This wasn’t an easy delivery for Kassy now having fever, and infection and hemorrhaging on the table and baby Addy having to be on oxygen right after being born. My poor brother watching the doctors and nurses try to save both Kassy and Addy. Thank you Jesus the doctors and nurses were able to save both but my niece now has Meconium Aspiration Syndrome (occurs when a newborn breathes a mixture of meconium and amniotic fluid into the lungs around the time of delivery). Baby Addy had to be transported to St David’s Hospital in Austin to receive better care. Unfortunately, at St David’s she didn’t respond like the doctors would like to the treatment they were administering to her. So she had to be transported to Dell Children’s Hospital in Austin where she is currently on Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation, also known as extracorporeal life support to help her heal and grow stronger. Sweet Addalynn has a longgggg road ahead of her but we are faithful and believing that she’s got this!! The funds you give will go towards the family’s medical expenses, hotel stay, food really anything that is going to help them be with her. Anything will help but also please keep them in your thoughts and prayers because I know this is probably the hardest thing either of them have ever gone through!
