Nicholas Gawarecki 2018-19 Seminary
Donation protected
My brother, Nicholas, has talked about being a priest since before high school and discerned it on and off since then. However, since he was unsure of what God was calling him to do, he studied at Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas, earning an undergraduate degree in theology with a minor in music. He then went on to earn a paralegal degree from Minnesota State University Moorhead.
After graduation he lived in Mankato for a short time before moving home to to able to spend time with family and our youngest brother as well as save money to pay off student loans. In these years since graduating from Moorhead, Nicholas has spent much time in adoration seeking to know God’s will for his life. This spring he decided to enter the seminary in Winona this fall, applied and was accepted.
Because of his way of life, he has some money saved up that he can put toward the two years he will be studying at St. Mary’s in Winona before going on to major seminary. However, since he already has a undergraduate degree, he will get little or no help in the form of loans or grants, and even though tuition is somewhat discounted for seminarians, it is still a good amount of money. Unlike most seminarians who are covered under their parents’ health insurance, Nick will have to pay for his own health insurance. I would ask that you consider giving even a small amount to help cover some of the tuition and living costs that will add up while Nicholas is in the seminary.
