Nicholas Boskers

During the night of Thursday, February 20th, while working with multiple power linemen crews, there was an accident and Nicholas fell approximately 25ft through the roof of a two-storey warehouse. Crews worked frantically to break into the building to get to him. Emergency personnel arrived within a few minutes and they all continued to work together until they could get him out safely. He miraculously survived the fall with two broken wrists, facial contusions, and facial and skull fractures. It was an extremely traumatic experience for all the linemen in attendance. Nick was rushed to the hospital in critical but stable condition. He was coherent and talkative and when his general foreman arrived to the hospital to see him the first thing on Nick's mind after waking up was, "Did the job get done?" That's just who Nick is: he loves being a lineman and loves doing what needs to be done to safely get the power back on. Myself and our two daughters were flown in from out of state to be with him and arrived before he successfully underwent double wrist surgery. He's being moved to another hospital to receive specialized care for his multiple facial and skull fractures, further testing, additional surgeries and physical therapy.  Nicholas is a veteran Journeyman Lineman with over 16 years experience out of Local 47 in Riverside, California and originally out of Local 254 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
