Nicholas A. Hutcherson, Wildland Firefighter. Fallen Hero in Line of Duty for the U.S. Forest Service.
Nicholas A. Hutcherson dedicated his life to serving others as a wildland firefighter. As a valued member of the Pittman Valley Helitack Crew off Kaibab Forest, he answered the call to protect communities, public lands, and his fellow firefighters with courage, professionalism, and selflessness.
Nicholas made the ultimate sacrifice while battling the Knowles and Gore Fire in the Utah Colorado Border this past June 27th, 2026, serving the people and places he cared so deeply about.
This fundraiser has been created to support Nicholas’s family during this unimaginable time. Donations will help ease the financial burden of funeral, memorial, travel, and immediate family needs, while allowing his loved to grieve without added financial stress.
Nicholas will be remembered not only for his dedication to the fire service, but for the kindness, strength, and unwavering commitment he brought to those around him. His legacy of service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.
