Nicola Simpson memorial fundraiser

Our dear friend Nicola has recently lost her battle with Cancer. Aged just 46, to say her passing has left a massive gap in everyone’s lives would be an understatement. Doting husband, loving sons, family and friends are missing her more than words can express.

When we as friends first learned of the aggressive nature of her brain tumour back in May, we felt numb and powerless to help. Knowing words can feel empty in such desperate circumstances, we decided to direct our collective efforts to adapt the house to make it more comfortable for Nicola and the boys.

Heartbreakingly, it became clear that we needed to work quickly. We had to draw on our building skills, resources and the generosity of our contacts to ensure Nic could spend her precious final months with her family. The combined efforts of friends, family and the fantastic team at St Wilfred's Hospice enabled Nic to stay in the warmth of her home until the end.

As a tribute to Nic's sense of fun and adventure, Tom and his merry band of 'poker mates' are completing a ridiculous trip on inappropriate mopeds from Pagham to Paris. Our own tribute to celebrate her life and raise money in her honour.

Our goal is to raise funds to enable Tom, Elliot and Carter to spend quality time together and build a fund that enables them to help others who find themselves suffering from this awful disease. The collection will be part of Nicola's positive legacy with all proceeds going to the family to be allocated at their discretion.
