Nicci’s Fight Against Leukemia
Donation protected
While most of us spent New Years Day making resolutions, setting goals, and dreaming of a happy year ahead, Nicci Hinton received earth shattering news that changed everything.
On January 1st, 2024, Nicci was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). AML is an aggressive cancer of the blood and bone marrow. Upon diagnosis of AML, Nicci was transferred from Marietta Memorial to the ICU at The James Cancer Center in Columbus, where she is currently undergoing treatment.
Unfortunately, she has had some setbacks and complications. It is still unknown when Nicci will be able to return home.
Her husband, Chris, has been traveling from Marietta to Columbus and back, trying to spend as much time with Nicci while still trying to work. Nicci’s daughters also travel to Columbus and back every weekend as they’re still in school.
Nicci is a loving wife, mother of 5 daughters, and a full time nurse. On or off the clock, caring for others is what Nicci does. Her compassion has led her to organize benefits and fundraisers for friends and strangers alike, helping others in times of need. She’s been a source of comfort and strength to countless individuals.
We wanted to create this page to provide an avenue for people to now help Nicci. Donations will help ease any financial burdens such as medical bills and travel expenses.
You can stay up to date by following “Nicci’s Fight” on Facebook. We ask at this time for all communication with Nicci be done through her page as she is currently unable to communicate with her phone.
The Hintons, Martins, Douthitts, Laudermans, and all of Nicci’s friends and family thank you. We appreciate the thoughts, prayers, and support. Please feel free to share.
