Ailey! My final summer intensive!

I’m 16 year old Nicaya Wiley. Most of you have already been following my dance journey since I was 2 years old so I won’t bore you with my résumé. In January, I auditioned for more than 14 summer intensive programs and was accepted into 13 of them (most with scholarships)! But I decided to train with my dream dance company, Alvin Ailey.  The total cost for me to live in New York for the summer to train with the Ailey Company is about $7000. Recently, I was chosen out of more than 200 artists nationwide to be awarded a $2500 scholarship from the Anthony Quinn Performing Arts Foundation. This money will cover most of my housing expenses. On April 28th, I competed as a finalist in the St Louis Teen Talent Competition where I won 1st place! However, the $8000 scholarship that I won cannot be accessed until I graduate next year. So I still need to raise funds for living expenses (meals are not covered) and tuition. This will be my FINAL summer intensive since I am graduating next year!
