Nicaragua mission and basketball camp
Donation protected
We will be partnering with the local Nicaraguan church which has been ministering in the area for many years. Potter Ministries has planted churches, raised up leaders, and discipled believers into maturity while feeding children, teaching english, and building homes for those in need. Potter Ministries has also organized and ran sports leagues for basketball and baseball. This is where we at Shepherd’s Tent desire to help.
Former Willliam Jessup University students and basketball players, Jaden Henderson (currently playing at York University), and Tim Strijaous, have a niche specialty in athletics. By coming alongside Jesus Pattern Network and Potter Ministries, we will be able to help facilitate the spread of the Gospel to the local population as well as connecting them with a sound ministry for steady spiritual growth.
It is our hope and prayer that this opportunity has come at the perfect timing of God as an open door to the nations. This is a foundational trip that will establish relationships and create long-term sustainable missions in the region for years to come.
In the first trip, the 3 main projects we will be working on are:
1. A basketball camp and community outreach
2. Fellowship with local pastors and leaders to develop relationships while identifying needs
and assessing the situation on the ground.
3. Pastoral training and discipleship.
