Nicanor (Nicu) Boca

Hello, my name is Ionel Grigorean and I'm raising money for the funeral of my good friend, Nicanor (Nicu) Boca. He passed away in his sleep, on December 14th and his passing was a shock to all of us who knew him.

Many knew Nicanor as Nicu -- a simple humble man. He loved the Lord and was dedicated to working hard, staying healthy, and spending time in God's house at Philadelphia Pentecostal Romanian Church in Portland, OR whenever he could.

Nicu lived alone in a small apartment and was a quiet man, keeping to himself most of the time. If he wasn’t at work or at church, he was spending time with close friends or appreciating wildlife and nature. He wasn't a man to flaunt worldly riches or acquire extraordinary means. He immigrated to the states 23 years ago and has been part of the Romanian Pentecostal communities in Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR since then.

Because Nicu was healthy and firm on his feet, his death came unexpectedly and leaves behind a trail of sadness.

He has two daughters in Romania who cannot attend their father's funeral, nor can they provide the funds to give their dad a proper burial. His siblings are spread throughout the world and none are well off enough to pay for the funeral by themselves which is why I am here, organizing this fundraiser for my friend.

Nicu deserves a proper funeral and burial service. It is my hope that you find it in your heart to aid me in giving our brother in Christ exactly that. The money raised through this fundraiser will go directly to paying for all of Nicu’s funeral and burial expenses.
