- I

Hi there! My name is Holly and I am trying to raise some money to help cover the cost of hip surgery for our little baby Nibs. Nibs is a 2 year old tabby who loves to walk around screaming late at night for no reason and is weirdly obsessed with bathtubs. He started limping and crying in pain last weekend and after a week and a half of medication, an incorrect arthritis diagnosis, and finally getting a second opinion on his x-rays, we discovered he had a fracture in his hip joint. The vet recommended femoral head ostectomy surgery ASAP and was luckily able to get him in the following day.
The total cost for the surgery (including anesthesia, medication, bloodwork, post-op x-rays, etc) ended up being $3200 (not including the $500 I already spent on x-rays and medication prior), so the credit card came out and he is currently at home recovering well, albeit self-conscious of his naked patch. The vet explained that he likely has Legg-Calve-Perthes Disease, which unfortunately means there's a risk that this fracture may happen again in the other hip, for which he would need the surgery again. Even getting a portion of the costs covered would be a huge help for us. Thank you in advance from Nibs, Shane and I (and Nibs' brother, Beans) to anyone that is able to spare a few dollars or share this post to help us out <3. Here's some kitty tax to thank you for reading our story:
