"Nibiru" - A Short Film by Michael Warren

Hello! My name is Michael Warren and I am a student filmmaker in the SUNY Purchase College Film Conservatory. I am in my junior year and am currently in the process of making a short film that will be shot and released in 2025. This project is something that I have been developing since even before my first year at Purchase, and I am very excited to share it with you all.

My next project, "Nibiru", is a drama/romance short film that follows an elderly couple's final few days together as a rogue astronomical object approaches Planet Earth. The film takes inspiration from other movies and TV shows such as Melancholia, The Notebook, and The Last of Us.

Unfortunately for me, independent filmmaking is not easy. The process requires a lot of time, planning, and organizing to make sure that the final product that my team and I create is top-notch. As you probably have gathered, this process is very expensive as well.

Donations to this project will go directly into spending on props, costumes, set design, equipment, travel fees, and other amenities for the cast and crew. Additionally, the names of everyone who donates will appear in the credits of the film.

I'm very excited to share this film with you all when it is complete. Thank you!
