Nia's SDR surgery

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Nia and I am a 13 year old girl (currently in year 9) with cerebral palsy in all 4 of my limbs. I struggle with my walking and some daily activities due to lack of movement, stiffness and also pain. I am able to walk with no walking aids but I use a wheelchair for long distances. Recently some of the doctors and surgeons I work with have suggested I go for a surgery called SDR - spinal dorsal rhizotomy. SDR is the cutting of nerves in the spine to get rid of unwanted signals resulting in less pain and spasms. If I have this surgery it means other orthopaedic surgery in the future will be more successful giving me a better quality of life and future. Unfortunately, this surgery is not available for me on the NHS and so I am facing the challenge of raising £22,000. Anything that you are able to donate will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
