A year ago, everything changed.
Niamh was diagnosed with scoliosis, and we began a journey none of us were prepared for. Today, we’re looking back with immense gratitude—and looking ahead with renewed hope.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of friends, family, and even strangers who simply cared, we raised £6,831 last year. Those donations made the world of difference. They allowed Niamh to be fitted with her first custom back brace and attend specialist physiotherapy at Scoliosis SOS, giving her the best possible chance to manage her condition without surgery.
And the results?
Nothing short of amazing.
In just 12 months, the change in her posture and spinal alignment has been remarkable. Her confidence has grown. Her spirit has stayed unshaken. And most importantly—she’s been able to keep dancing.
For Niamh, dance is everything. It’s not just a hobby. It’s her escape, her joy, her way of expressing herself. Knowing she can still dance despite everything she’s facing has kept her going. She’s worn her brace for 22 hours a day, every single day—without complaint, without hesitation. That’s the kind of quiet strength she carries. We’re so proud of her.
But now, she needs our help again.
Niamh has grown over 4 inches in the past year, and as a result, she urgently needs a new brace—custom made, just like before. This comes at a cost of £4,000, and on top of that, she must continue her physiotherapy sessions and brace reviews to maintain her progress. None of these are available on the NHS.
We know times are tough. We know there are many causes out there. But if you’ve ever met Niamh—or even just followed her story—you’ll know how much this means.
Your support has already changed her life.
Now, we’re asking—please, help us take this next step.
Help us keep her dancing.
From the bottom of our hearts—on behalf of Niamh, her mum Rachael, and all of us—thank you. We will never forget what your kindness has made possible.
Every share, every pound, every message of support—it all matters.
And it all makes a difference.
