Niamh Murphy Memorial Fundraiser

The Murphy family came into my life when I was just 18 months old. Olive and her daughter Olivia, who was the same age, helped raise me alongside my parents. We spent every day together acting out the Wizard of Oz and getting paint all over my mom's house. Bright orange haired baby Seamus joined the world right before they went to live back in Ireland. I was so lucky they decided to move back soon after and I got to live like real siblings with Liv and Seamus, fighting over beds and toys like before. When Liv and I were seven, Olive called to tell us to join her at the hospital to celebrate the birth of her third baby, Niamh. I had always wanted a little sister, and I was so thrilled to have Niamh in our lives. She was such a gleeful child, full of life and spunk and laughter. She was the brightest spot in all of our lives. Whenever Liv had friends over for a sleepover, Niamh would insist on sharing the bed with me. I was so honored to be her chosen friend, I never left the bed even when her toddler sweaty self was draped all over me, snoring in my ear.

Niamh grew up to become a dedicated young woman, a talented swimmer, a loyal friend, a thoughtful daughter and the best younger sister to Seamus and Liv. Liv always called Niamh her "mini-me" because their looks were so shockingly similar from birth to teenage to adulthood. But even more importantly, the two of them had the same burning passion to pursue their dreams, Olivia's in engineering and Niamh's in physical therapy.

The Murphy family and everyone that knew them lost their youngest child this past weekend to a tragic car accident. There are no words to express this loss. At the young age of 21, her life was cut far too short. Please help me in contributing to the funeral costs and additional family expenses.
