The YMCA is a nonprofit organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The core belief is that strong communities are possible only when we invest in our kids, our health and our neighbors.

My mom is working with the YMCA as a volunteer to help raise money for this year's campaign, representing the Niagara Falls Family YMCA Branch. 100% of the funds raised during the annual campaign are used to provide financial assistance to families in need of the YMCA child care services. Most of the recipients are single-parent family households. Last year, the Niagara Falls YMCA raised $15,000 and gave away $40,000 in financial assistance. The deficit was covered from our other local family YMCAs.
