In a matter of seconds ,the life of our beloved Nia was taken from us forever by senseless violence. We lost a mother, a daughter, a sister, a niece, a cousin and a friend who was 9 months pregnant and a mother of four. One of Nia’s biggest joys in life was being a mother! She will be missed by her children and family tremendously even as we grasp to understand this senseless act. We must lay her to rest and provide for the children she leaves behind, including the one who survived from the womb but remains in critical condition as a result of the trauma. It is surreal, painful, and heartbreaking but we know we must push forward in order to lay our beloved to rest and give her babies a fighting chance at their new normalcy. We can do all things Th
