Emma Newhams is a 9-year-old girl who lives in Josephine, Pennsylvania. Two years ago, Emma was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia with a K2TMA (MLL) (11q23) mutation. This mutation swaps her 10th and 11th chromosomes. This is an aggressive form of leukemia and is considered a significant finding. She has undergone many medical treatments over the past two years and has spent most of her time at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. Emma’s treatments have included bone marrow transplants, blood transfusions, radiation, and multiple rounds of chemotherapy. Her remaining options are now very limited. Recently Emma has gotten worse, and she is back at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh with her mother. During this time, her mother will be unable to work. She is the sole provider for her household of five and will have a very limited income during this time. We are asking for donations for Emma and her family to cover any household expenses such as bills and groceries, as well as any uncovered medical expenses. Emma’s family and friends are grateful for any donation and if you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser or saying a prayer for Emma. Thank you!
