Our Aims
We are NHS doctors and nurses from Oxford trying to help protect our NHS colleagues from Coronavirus who are caring for ill patients outside London. We are trying to:
1) Raise £10,000 to buy masks and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
2) Collect and distribute unused masks and PPE to NHS staff.
Our Mission
We need to keep our NHS staff safe so they can keep helping critical patients who need their help. We are NHS doctors and nurses from Oxford who would like to collect and deliver unused Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and buy further stock to support our amazing NHS colleagues working with coronavirus patients.
This is a time-critical issue. There is a desperate shortage of effective PPE TODAY because, despite the best efforts of the government and the NHS to buy more, there just isn’t enough well-fitted PPE available for all our NHS colleagues. Without PPE, NHS staff are potentially endangering themselves while caring for patients and could unknowingly spread the disease. The number of cases is expected to rise and many doctors around the world have contracted COVID19 while caring for sick patients.
We have identified suppliers in Oxfordshire with available FFP2/3 masks for purchase. Each mask or PPE you donate or help purchase could potentially save lives. Your contributions will be directly delivered to NHS staff in hospitals and GPs, including doctors, nurses, paramedics, physiotherapists, porters, cleaners, kitchen staff and everyone needed to keep the NHS working.
How You Can Help
1) RAISE FUNDS TO BUY MORE PPE
We need your help to raise £10,000 to purchase masks/PPE from reliable international suppliers, which meets international safety standards. We will deliver PPE directly to NHS staff who need them.
2) DONATE UNUSED MASKS and PPE
Please donate any unused PPE that you may have, including face-masks, goggles, hand sanitiser, scrubs etc. We will help collect and deliver these directly to NHS hospitals around the country. Who We Are
We are NHS colleagues (doctors and nurses) who work in the orthopaedic department at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford and the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading. Aman and Salma trained as Specialist Registrars in orthopaedics in Oxford and worked with Jas. We want to immediately support our brilliant colleagues in the region and across the country.

Why Do We Need Help TODAY?
We have already seen in the UK and other countries that some selfless doctors contracted coronavirus while caring for their sick patients. We are working to support government measures and the NHS across the United Kingdom. However, we cannot wait for delayed deliveries or manufacturing when we desperately need PPE immediately to protect and save lives. The risk of contracting coronavirus is reduced with PPE, particularly with N95 face masks and FFP2/3 masks. The public support shown to the NHS during this crisis has been incredible and gratefully received. Similar campaigns have organised masks for healthcare workers in America and London, so we are trying to supplement such efforts by directly helping NHS staff outside London.
