NHS Foodbox Fundraiser for St Thomas' ICU

The NHS staff are looking after us in our time of need- it is time for us to help them.
ICU staff need fruit, vegetables and basic essentials to stay healthy but the stores are empty by the time they've finished their long shifts.
The very least we can do is make sure the everyday heroes at St Thomas ICU- the doctors, nurses, radiographers, porters, cleaners who are on the front line saving the lives of those with Covid-19- can feed themselves and their families. We need them all to stay healthy.
We are working with restaurant suppliers (also struggling to pay staff with restaurant closures) to put together weekly food boxes ready for the staff to take home after a long shift.
A NHS hero food box is £20 and an amazing way to say thank you. Please donate generously.

This campaign is managed by myself (Louise Preston) and my husband (John Ramsay). We are both based in Kennington, London just down the road from St. Thomas'. We aren't a charity but care a lot about the NHS staff and wanted to start a community movement to ensure they could access fresh fruit and veg when shelves are empty. John's sister (Dr Michelle Ramsay) is a Senior Respiratory Consultant at St Thomas and has shared with us some of the challenges faced by the NHS staff. All money raised will be withdrawn and used to purchase £20 food boxes from restaurant supplier (Entremetier and Smith and Boyne) via John Ramsay's account, and we are working with management staff at St Thomas' to ensure boxes meet staff coming off day and night shifts. We will only withdraw funds from GoFundMe when the food boxes are ready to be delivered. Your money has already supported 300 staff to have a healthy box of food to take home.
