A few years ago, Tori began experiencing health issues in California. Her arms suddenly stopped working, requiring assistance, including dressing. Soon after, her leg stopped working requiring her to drag it, prompting her to seek medical help. She visited a neurologist at San Diego State University, where they conducted numerous tests and suspected multiple sclerosis (MS). Before receiving a definitive diagnosis, life brought her to Indiana.
In Indiana, Tori continued to live her life until the symptoms resurfaced. Under the care of a new doctor, a series of blood tests steering them towards her thyroid. Within weeks, Tori lost 30 pounds unintentionally, raising further concerns. Additional blood tests indicated thyroid issues and non-alcoholic liver disease. An ultrasound and biopsy of her thyroid led to a diagnosis: thyroid and lymph node cancer. The lymph node cancer is known to be more aggressive which is more concerning to the doctors.
Tomorrow, Tori is scheduled for a PET-CT scan to determine if the cancer has spread. The results will guide the next steps in her treatment journey.
We are reaching out to our community in hopes of easing Tori’s burden. By covering at least three months of her bills, we aim to alleviate financial stress, allowing her to focus entirely on her treatment and recovery. If you feel compelled to help, your support would be immensely appreciated during this challenging time. Together, we can make a difference in Tori’s journey to health.
