Please Help With Emergency Funds

Recently, my husband, Dylan, and I decided to help out a very close friend by helping him escape an abusive situation. We had to do a nearly 800 mile round-trip to the town of Paris, TX, and back to rescue him from his abusive family, and particularly, his violent uncle. We needed to rent a U-Haul and a hotel room for one night, since we couldn't do the whole trip in one day. However, we are currently without an emergency safety cushion because of this good deed and would appreciate any assistance. We are in serious need of assistance right now. My husband is shackled to a ton of student debt, and due to past emergencies, his credit cards are nearly maxxed out. I know in today's world, it's a big ask, but we would be so grateful if you were able to spare any money to help us out of this hole.
