Assalamu'Alaikum, Greetings of Peace and Blessings!
The North Hudson Islamic Educational Center (NHIEC) opened its doors in 1992 as a community mosque. Since then NHIEC serves not only a mosque, but community center and home to Rising Star Academy as well as Al-Noor supplementary weekend school. This building is in use 7 days a week with students and community members in the building for the pursuit of knowledge, faith and community.
Now, the building and our community are in URGENT need of your help. A very important project is in the works that will create long-lasting and sustainable structural improvements to the building.
This is a project of utmost importance for the safety of our children and community. We are renovating the NHIEC building to meet public safety standards, Insha Allah. Renovations under law demand a change in electricity networking, handicap accessibility, fire-hazard safety, and interior design.
The construction costs include $300,000. All stakeholders are working diligently to help raise these funds to keep the doors of this institution OPEN.
Take Action Now:
1) Donate! This is an urgent construction project, work needs to be complete prior to September so our school doors can open this fall.
