My name is Yasmin Lewis-Wojnowski and I am raising funds for my son Nhiamke Lewis-Burns. Nhiamke is my oldest biological child and the self proclaimed comedian, best cook and favorite child in the family. His smile and laugh are infectious. He is well loved, respectful and a great friend to many. If you are in his age range and played any sports in this county, then you probably crossed paths with him.
Nhiamke was involved in a terrible head on collision on the night of March 11th. Nhiamke was in critical condition, suffered a severe traumatic brain injury and spent a week in the surgical ICU. He is currently in a stepdown unit and will transfer out of the area to a rehabilitation facility that specializes in brain injuries for extensive inpatient treatment. Our large blended family has been devastated by this incident. Nhiamke is the favorite to all his siblings.
Nhiamke has no health insurance and the road to recovery from this type of injury is long and unpredictable. We are asking for your help with medical and living expenses as there is no prediction of if and when he may resume his normal life. Anything that you can donate is appreciated.
We would like to thank the paramedics, Brevard County Sheriff's Department and most especially the staff at Holmes Regional Medical Center for saving his life, providing quality care and supporting us throughout this most difficult time.
We would also like to thank everyone for their prayers and words of encouragement, meals, cards, flowers and financial donations. We could not have endured this without you.
Thank you. Love and blessings. ❤️
