It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of our father, Nhia Yer P. Yang passing on the afternoon of June 30th, 2020. (Not COVID-19 related.) His viewing and final resting place is set for July 18th, 2020.
He fought his fight, and we know he is in a better place and at peace. My father was an advocate for change and a man of the people, so we thank you for the out pouring of love, thoughts and prayers that has been extended to our family.
Many of our Family and Friends have reached out on how they can support and honor our father in this difficult time. In the Hmong Culture at Funeral Services, Friends and Family can donate “SUNSHINE Money” or “Nyiaj Tshav Ntuj”.
*Sunshine Money - in the Hmong culture gives the community an opportunity to show respect and support for the family with monetary donations.
Due to COVID-19 and limited viewing visitations, we have set up this GOFUNDME Account to continue and honor our father and also this tradition.
You can also send donations directly via VENMO to Sandy Yang’s Venmo at: Sandy-Yang-20. Please indicate in the Notes/Message that it is for “Sunshine Money”. (Nyiaj Tshav Ntuj).
