This year's graduating class knows one thing to be true: that we should be thankful for what we have. However, that does not mean we cannot grieve the loss of our quintessential teenage years and experience. For this year's graduating class at North Hastings High School, our last full, uninterrupted year of school was our first one, and as our last one draws to a close, we can’t help but listen to stories of our parents and those who were lucky enough to live their teenage years to the fullest, experience everything we were promised, and wistfully imagine us in their place. On a warm weekend in June, we just may have a chance to do that. NHHS’ class of 2022 is planning their own prom and taking the initiative to give them one last great send-off. Although we are doing this for NHHS grads, the school is not technically affiliated with us- the only difference that this brings up between this and proms in the past is we have no starter funds. We are renting the venue, paying for decorations, all with money we will be fundraising from here, barbecues, etc. Donate whatever you feel comfortable with and send off the graduating class of 2022 in style with our ‘Night in Nashville’ prom.
