International Student in Canada

Hi everyone, my name is Marcela, I am Colombian and I arrived in Canada exactly 2 months ago. I came as an international student and I am doing the Human Resources Management course. I came to this country, first to learn and second and more important, in search of a better future for my daughter Maria Jose, because I am a single mother and I want to open the doors for her to a better future but for this I had to study first. My daughter could not come with me, she is currently in Colombia.
I have liked Canada very much and the cold has not been an impediment for me to continue and keep fighting, I am located in London. I have been looking for a job to support myself and my daughter in Colombia but it has not been possible, I wanted a job in Canada to have the Canadian work experience but since it has not been possible I started to search on LinkedIn for remote jobs and last Tuesday, February 25 I found a job as a remote data entry, it caught my attention and I applied. I was contacted and from there began the process, training and so on, the truth is that it sounded very good, the company actually exists and it fit my schedule to be able to continue studying.
Initially, the contact was made through WhatsApp and then the person told me that everything had to be done via Telegram, which I now know is a Red Flag but that day I saw it as normal and I had never used Telegram in my life either, and after a long conversation he told me that for the payment I had to download a cryptocurrency app, which was also new to me. My first day of work I was able to make $140 which was very good and rewarding for me and on Saturday I continued with the work but by then I was supposed to top up with my money and I would get the return plus the profit and obviously I believed every word. By Sunday I had deposited all my savings, made a credit card advance of $1000 and also deposited my rent payment.
To make a long story short, I am left with only $5.00, so my hope with this collection is to at least collect at least my rent, at the very least. Of course I am still looking for work because I have to support my daughter and buy food.
This is definitely a learned experience, not in the best way but it was meant to be. I still have faith in humanity even though I am always being told not to be so trusting.
Thank you for reading me and the support.
