Our dear Friend, Son, Brother, Uncle and Father Stephen Daniel Stewart suddenly passed on July 19. He was taken from us too soon by the hand of another at the age of 46.
Daniel went to Scarborough High School and spent time working as a zoo volunteer. He always loved animals and science. He shared this love with his children teaching them how to care for animals and through many fishing trips. He later attended Southwest University in San Marcos. While in San Marcos he helped to develop support groups for young adults at a church and he also worked with foster kids in group homes to help them overcome their obstacles and make goals for themselves. He made his way back to Houston and began working in Computer and Computer Software Technical Support and had two beautiful children Abri and Olivia.
Daniel had a gentle heart, quick wit, brilliant mind, and helped others in their time of need. He was kind, accepting, funny, and courageous in his own way. He is known as being a “ferociously loyal friend”. He looked after those he loved-his siblings, friends and his own family. His last message to his mother was loving, caring and showed concern for his loved ones. His desire to learn, his creativeness, passion, love of people, and loyalty are traits you see in his two children.
The loss is great for his son Abri (15) who will be a sophomore in high school next year with his whole life in front of him without his father. His daughter Olivia (3) will experience many “firsts” in life in the absence of her fathers love and support. Getting a license, graduating High School, deciding on a career, and experiencing their first love are just a few of the moments they will not get to share with the love and guidance from their Dad.
While we mourn his passing we would like to help his legacy live on by ensuring that his children Abri and Olivia have funds for everyday expenses and their college education be it formal college or a technical school. The funds will be split evenly between the two to go into a trust fund.
Thank you for your support to honor Daniel’s memory by contributing to this fund. This will relieve some stress for his children so that they may grieve and heal from the loss of their father.
