On the early morning of 30 December, my brother and sister in laws house unexpectedly caught on fire while they were out of town. The nature of the accident is unknown at this time. My brother and sister in law unfortunately did not have home owners insurance. The fire resulted in severe damage to the structure, burned everything inside destroying personal items, collectibles, lots of memories, but worst of all their 3 fur babies Cheeto, Nigel, and their mama Turkey. The 3 cats brought light into my brother and sister in laws life. To use the word tragic would be understating. Because now they are left with nothing. No amount of money in the world can bring their cats back. My brother and sister in law have worked hard and done all they can do to make their little house more than just a house and that being a home. 2024 was not the best year in the books for the family, but quitting isn’t a characteristic for anyone in the family. If you have 4 quarters sitting in your car, 4 dimes, heck even a penny I have always said every dollar counts. Again, no money can bring their cats back unfortunately. But please take 5 minutes out of your day to think about my family and make a small contribution to get them once again started.
