This is Luna, our “baby” who we’ve come to love for the last 6 years and counting. We adopted her as a puppy and she’s been with us ever since, playing, napping and terrorizing our home with her Husky brother Oso.
On March 3rd, she escaped our backyard and took off with Oso on an adventure. After 9 days she has been located, by a kind hearted trucker who saw her get struck by oncoming traffic of which the driver continued to drive away.
He stopped and called police, who also said they would do nothing - so he put her in his truck and took her to the nearest clinic, and then transported her again, to an animal emergency hospital where she is fighting hard to get better. She has suffered head trauma, fractures, pancreas and kidney injuries, and internal bleeding. Tonight, she will stay in critical care and the cost of oxygen, scans and fluids is already building. Without funds to help care for her, she will have to be released. She needs all the medical care she can get so please help with whatever you can spare so we can get our baby back home. ❤️
