Hair today gone tomorrow

Hair today, gone tomorrow ‍♀️‍♥️

Hi all,

On 1st May I set myself a challenge: to shave my head for charity.

So many of us have lived, watched and helped the ones we love go through battles with cancer

I am a breast cancer survivor of 6 years. I know how lucky I am that I was diagnosed early, got surgery / radiation and thank God I never needed chemotherapy.

In the last few years I have had family, friends and colleagues all affected by cancer. My brother of 50 died last year of a brain tumour. He was tenderly cared for in his last few nights by the daffodil nurses, giving us his family a chance to close our eyes for a few hours

My sister, 56, is now fighting her own courageous battle against a similar brain tumor and has had the support and kindness from West Wicklow Cancer Care ‍⚕️‍⚕️

My friend Catherine decided to join in and have her head shaved as well, in part for moral support but Catherine’s sister Claire  and her Mother lost their lives to cancer in the last 3 years and both benefited  from the various cancer support services which are reliant on fundraising.

Please donate what you can to these well deserving charities. Every euro will help someone in their battle against cancer.

I will stream the head shaves live on Facebook at 1 pm on Monday 18th May.

Can´t wait to entertain you all for a few minutes, as I am sure it will!
